Home made soap

remember Mom and my Grandmother making home made lye soap with the rendered lard off a harvested hog :D

People who are trying to do good for their families and the planet by living a simple life based on traditional skills are facing yet another assault. Artisanal soap makers say new regulations, proposed by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) and Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine), will put them out of business. Many soap makers are rural “kitchen table” operations that rely on the income to fund their simple living lifestyle. Some use milk from goats they raise and ingredients they harvest from the land.

Couldn't get the link to work Jody.

Your post got my attention because the home-maker-in-chief here started making her own laundry soap within the past few months. She mixes it up in a bigger bucket and fills her dispenser with it as needed. She says it costs a fraction of purchased detergent and the clothes come out just as clean.

She will not be happy about this.

I don't make soap and I'm not happy about this. Obviously, the people who come up with this bs have nothing better to
do on the taxpayers dollar. What's next that they will want to regulate? :stop:
