LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga — Gwinnett County police are hoping a sketch will help find the men who assaulted, robbed and raped an elderly Lawrenceville woman inside her own home.
#Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said officers were called to Madison Chase drive at about 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 6 in response to a home invasion robbery. The victim, a 79-year-old female, reportedly told them that two black males armed with a handgun had forced their way into her house.
#“The suspects forced the victim to a back bedroom where she was restrained on a bed and sexually assaulted,” Smith said. “After searching the home, the suspects fled with the victim’s purse.”
#No getaway vehicle was seen, Smith said. The victim was able to provide a description of one suspect to a sketch artist, describing him as a black male roughly 20 to 25 years old and 5-foot-10, with a light skin tone, a “low haircut” and brown eyes.
#The second suspect was described only as a black male.
