Well they sure can do the darndest things!

Went out to do the mid morning feed and what do I see. My grey yearling stuck UNDER the bottom rail on the fence.( 9 inches to the ground) At first glance I thought he was dead. I slowly walked over to where he was and he let out a paniced whicker but still laid calmly. OK now what do I do.... First try to pry the board off, nope not gonna happen (round poles with spikes in them) Run back to the garage grab a saw. Saw dumb pony out, I pull the board off and he still lays there. I figured for SURE something was broken, neck maybe. So I pull him about 5 feet by his back legs, still nothing ( at this point I am sure he is giggling) Panic is setting in trying to remain cool.... I lift up his head and he starts nibbling my jacket. Absolutely nothing wrong with this turkey! not even a scratch.
So the question remains
How did he get under there? His rib cage is way more than 9 inches deep. How on earth did he wedge under
Why did'nt he panic?
Why isnt anything broken!
I need a coffee.....
