I had a 90 year old lifelong resident tell me a couple days ago that this was the hottest summer he could remember- even worse than the 30's... I wasn't sure if maybe during the drought of the 80's it hadn't been hotter- but didn't argue with him...Looks like the old fella knew what he was talking about....

SO FAR TODAY 28 HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AT THE AIRPORT IN GLASGOW. THIS IS THE WETTEST DAY IN OVER 2 MONTHS...WHEN ON JUNE 10TH 35 HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN FELL. SO FAR THIS YEAR THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE AT GLASGOW IS 49.3 DEGREES...WHICH MAKES THIS YEAR THE WARMEST YEAR TO DATE ON RECORD.
