How can he ever be forgiven

We went to the movie Lone Survivor tonight and after watching it I don't see how military families or US citizens in General can ever forgive Obama for tying the hands of the soldiers with his Rules of Engagement. He sends them into a war zone with rules that get them killed.

CNSNews.com) - Twelve years ago today, nineteen al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four U.S. commercial airliners and flew them into the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

In the war that Congress authorized against al Qaeda only three days after that attack, the vast majority of the U.S. casualties have occurred in the last four and a half years during the presidency of Barack Obama.

In fact, according to the CNSNews.com database of U.S. casualties in Afghanistan, 73 percent of all U.S. Afghan War casualties have occurred since Jan. 20, 2009 when Obama was inaugurated.

The 91 U.S. casualties in Afghanistan so far in 2013 are more than those that occurred in the first two full calendar years of the war (2002 and 2003) combined, when 30 and 31 U.S. troops were killed there.

On Sept. 14, 2001, Congress approved a resolution authorizing the president “to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons.”

By October 2001, U.S. forces were engaged in Afghanistan, seeking to remove al Qaeda from the sanctuary it had used there to launch the Sept. 11, 2001 attack.

Since then, most of the leaders and participants in the 9/11 terrorist attacks have been killed or captured. But the United States not only remains at war in Afghanistan, it continues to suffer significant casualties there.

In total, 2,144 U.S. military personnel have given their lives fighting in and around Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

1,575 of the U.S. military personnel who have sacrificed their lives in this cause were killed during the presidency of Barack Obama.

That means 73 percent of the casualties in the Afghan War have happened on Barack Obama’s watch.

Under President George W. Bush, from 2001 until Jan. 20, 2009, 569 U.S. military personnel were killed in and around Afghanistan fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom.

So far this year, during the twelfth year of the Afghan War, 91 U.S. military personnel have given their lives in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense reported 17 casualties in May and 18 in June--the two deadliest months for U.S. troops in Afghanistan so far this year. Typically, the summer months from June to September are the deadliest for U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan.

Among the 91 U.S. casualties reported so far this year, all but 9 have been combat-related.

During the now 12-year-long Afghan War, the four deadliest years for U.S. troops were also the four years of Obama’s first term.

AGAIN This is what you get when you have a incompetent community organizer sending soldiers in with their hands tied behind their backs with stupid Liberal rules of engagement meant to protect the enemy and not the Soldiers safety.

Where are the libtards that protested Bush at every turn, I guess three times as many caskets in less time means little to them now that Obama is responsible for them.

When Bush was President, the MSM had a military body count on a regular basis. What happened to that under Obama? I think too many don't know how many more have died under this administration.

Tam, read 'Betrayed' by Billy Vaughn, Aaron Vaughn's father. Aaron was killed in Extortion 17 and the Vaughns investigated it. What they found is what you saw on 'Lone Survivor'. They still don't have all the answers to their questions as they have found a major cover-up. As a result, they won't allow Obama's name to be spoken in their home.

I doubt anyone will ever know the truth about what this Administration has done to weaken the US military that has cost US military lifes.

When I came out of the theater all I could think was Thank You God that Shawn (my sister's son)is home from that hell hole and I pray he never has to step foot out of the US again under Obama's rules. But then I'm not sure any of us are safe with Obama's weakening of the immigration rules when it comes to the people coming from those war torn sandpits. :x

‘I Didn’t Join to be Sacrificed’ U.S. Troops in Afghanistan Fed Up With Obama Rules of Engagement

February 18, 2014 Russ Jones latest news, Poltics, Uncategorized

In the light of Afghanistan releasing 65 alleged Taliban fighters from Bagram prison, Billy and Karen Vaughn, parents of fallen Navy SEAL Aaron Carson Vaughn (SEAL Team VI), who was killed in Extortion 17, are bringing more information to the light regarding the treachery of the Obama administration in Afghanistan.

In their recent op-ed piece featured on Brietbart.com, “US soldiers in Afghanistan are now forced to fight a two-fronted war. Before each deployment, these soldiers understand fully that day after day they will do battle against relentless terrorists with shifting loyalties and unspeakable hatred. But what none of them could have foreseen was the killing field that would open from their rear…the Continental United States.”

Our government’s incessant tightening of already restrictive ROE (Rules of Engagement), compounded by the failed COIN (Counterinsurgency) strategy—also known as “winning hearts and minds,” has made an otherwise primitive enemy formidable.

In a delicate discussion with an Army Ranger who recently left the military, we heard the following:

“I had to get out. I have a family who needs me. I didn’t join to be sacrificed. I joined to fight.”

This decision came shortly after he lost a close friend to the ROE. He went on to explain that the Taliban had attempted an ambush on his friend’s squad, but quickly realized they were in a battle they couldn’t win and began retreating. While chasing them, the US soldiers were ordered not to engage due to the slight chance the Taliban had laid down their arms as they ran through some type of shack. While arguing with leadership at the JOC (Joint Operations Center) his friend was shot and killed.

In the first seven plus years of war in Afghanistan (October, 2001 – December, 2008) we lost 630 US soldiers. In early 2009, Obama’s administration authorized the implementation of the COIN strategy. Over the next five years, the US death toll skyrocket to 2,292.

Seventy-three percent of all US deaths in Afghanistan have taken place since 2009.

In the first seven plus years of war in Afghanistan, 2,638 US soldiers were wounded in action. In the next forty-five months (2009 – 2012) an additional 15,036 suffered the same fate.

Liars figure, but figures don’t lie.

The Vaughn’s and numerous Gold Star Parents around the country are counting on you, the American patriot, for a response. We must defend our defenders. There is honor in sacrifice, and it should not be made in vain.

The Vaughn's point out in that book, that Obama continued a war he didn't believe in........one in which he didn't intend to win......which is unforgivable.
