Comey: Classified Clinton emails forwarded to Anthony Weiner

Washington (CNN)FBI Director James Comey revealed Wednesday that Hillary Clinton emails containing classified information were "somehow" being forwarded to former congressman Anthony Weiner by his wife and top Clinton aide, Huma Abedin.

somehow?... great investigator he is turning out to be...

In separate exchange with Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana, Comey said Abedin appeared to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to Weiner for him "to print out for her so she could then deliver them to the secretary of state."
But there was no indication that Abedin "had a sense that what she was doing was in violation of the law" Comey added, and investigators couldn't prove any sort of criminal intent.

so ignorance of the law is an excuse...

I am sure all the other people charged with mishandling classified info are now going to be forgiven...

The probe uncovered the affair, revealed their mishandling of classified documents, and led to Petraeus’ resignation as the head of the CIA. Petraeus pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling government documents and was fined $100,000.

Broadwell did have security clearance to handle classified information but was not given authority to remove the information “from authorized storage facilities” or store the classified information “in unauthorized locations,” according to the affidavit.

so really,.. what is the difference?

and that does not bring up the many cases of lapses of judgement and the stiff penalty many others received. is there "criminal intent in a selfie? (yes they should be criminal)

way to many articles and people to list who are already convicted of the same or less the what Hillery and her crew did.

"The Clinton Machine must run even deeper than was thought."

I'm sure this is a fact.

As for ignorance of classified protocol, no no no, it ain't so. Everyone with any clearance is briefed to death about this stuff. The left really thinks they are above the law - all commie dictators think they're above the law

Brad's right. She knew exactly what she was doing. Who knows who Weiner might have shown classified information to as well, to feed his ego and impress his stalkees. Comey also isn't fit to serve his position.

“If there was classified information and it was improperly passed to a person unauthorized to receive it, yes, naturally it’s a crime,” Blumenthal said on MSNBC. “Without knowing what the intentions were and so forth, there is potentially a prosecutable crime.”

When asked if she had committed a crime he answered, “It still may be, potentially. It’s not outside the statute of limitations, so far as I know. It’s one that the Department of Justice is going to have to decide. The question is: who will decide it? That’s why we need a special prosecutor to review all of this investigative material.”

Isn't there a road paved somewhere with good intentions? Of all the cases I looked up and read, few looked at intent, and most were convicted despite no criminal intent. Mishandling means just that.

:agree:

As in the Gen. Petraeus case, his girlfriend/mistress had the clearance,... but NO NEED to KNOW. so he was guilty. this case is worse.
