As much as I detest Bush, if the election was between him and Obama, I still wouldn't vote for Barry. I'll take a beating before I vote for a socialist.

Interestingly my junior Senator who replaced Conman Burns (who got kicked out by the voters after he got caught up by his corruption)- Jon Tester who is a Big Sandy farmer and cattleman, besides being a part time butcher- is thought of by many in D.C. and the press as a Blue Dog and a populist rather than a liberal-but only voted with Bush 35% of the time (less than Obama)- which I think goes to show how far off track Bush is...

The only thing I've really disagreed with him on, is his opposition to drilling offshore/ANWR - but then again he supports coal use and coal gasification, wind turbines, new methods of going for oil, ethanol, biodiesel, and was a key sponsor of the bill to close the Enron Loophole and secret Speculation problems ...He also supported many other things I did- and was a key backer of M-COOL and the ban on Packer Ownership of cattle to keep the JBS Brazils from buying up and controlling all the segments of the entire cattle industry- and a strong supporter of no amnesty for illegal invaders- along with being anti mandatory NAIS, anti Real ID, and anti Patriot Act- as well as the fact we need to have FAIR trade instead of Free trade- and the fact that USDA should be putting the US producers ahead of the multinational importers...Strong supporter of Second Amendment rights- and believes Lobbyist corruption has ruined D.C. and supports banning Lobbyist contributions as well as making all earmarks transparent...Also strongly opposes Bush's/Republican parties current borrow and spend and put the debt on our children policy...

I don't know what more I can ask for-- and he's a Dem......

Interesting site, OT. Thanks. My congressman, a Repulican, voted with Bush 58% of the time. He's somewhat of a maverick.
