I really can not figure ths out how many tons of grain does it take to win the state fairs bulls shows.

one, two ,three or more or I do not give a hoot just win it so the bull can melt like a sick of butter at 98 degree today

YA got back the fair and a Express bull was Grand he was so fat rather than fat pockets on his tail head it was a 6 inch square tail head.

How many tons of grain to win the bull show?

All of them.   Were you surprised? The day we see a grass only cattle show, I'll start showing again.

When they discover someone who can tell the difference between red muscle and white muscle, it will take a lot less

It seems to me that the showring is farther away from reality now than it has ever been. It makes me sick to watch heifer shows any more. Many of the heifers shown are fatter than many of the steers in the steer show.

We had a section in our show where the steers were judged both on the hoof, then on the hook. The difference in breed results between the show winning breeding stock, and the breeds that won the carcase competitions was an eye opener.
Veld reared steers won the competition more often than feedlot beef.

Just need to add this... a adult breeder wore a tuxedo with a red bow tie and cumberbunn at this same show..
Looked more like a circus than a cattle show. The show was over before noon.

Didn't somebody post pics of a formal wear branding here once I guess next year Dylan and I could have a grassfed bull show after our test but don't really know a reason for it lol. I'd like a pen of ten breeder show showed loose in a big arena and judged on horseback so a guy could get them moving out.

I like the llama and alpaca idea. Over ramps, teeter-totters, weaving pylons, etc. Now that's entertainment...
