Looks like they drove it to the bare ground. Too bad they never pointed it the other way and backed away from the header.

I was told that they were roading several machines, the guy behind this one saw the smoke, and they got the cab cleaned out THEN tried the extinguisher on it.... kid running it was more worried bout his lunch bucket and CD player than the combine!!!

It looks like every picture is a little farther away. :lol: :lol: It's to bad. :( I been on the local fire dept. for 25 years and we have only ever saved 1 combine,but that was only 3/4 of a mile from the fire hall.

Not that the fire extinguisher would have been much help even earlier unless he got it about 30 seconds after it started.

Man that's hot and complete.
