Dress her up in camo and take her bear hunting. Sara is a social butterfly but get her in a tree stand with four bear within ten yards and she is quiet as a mouse. It was pretty intense Momma was popping her teeth just beside us for about half an hour lol.

Ty just hand signalled us they were coming but by time they circled in it was too dark for pics-first time I've seen Sara quiet for a half hour straight-she did real good-it was pretty eery climbing down in the pitch dark with that old sow bear just off 50-60 yards.

Ty waiting it out-about a half hour later a yearling was standing on his back legs looking up at him. I'm in another tree stand backing him up-that old bear wouldn't let him out of his tree the night before. He's got a Montec G5 ready to fly lol.

Those were really neat pics NR....hopin you can get one with a bear coming in.

I give Sarah credit,I won't go with greg when they're bear hunting, even to stay in camp, the bears tend to raid camp while guys are out sitting in the stands.

Well....they say we do have bears here.....I've never seen one, never have known anyone that has seen one in recent years. It's said that the Black bear is on the come back, but only thru it's own devices, not reintroduction. They've talked about it, but decided against doin that. There's only been like 47 sightings since 1977.

We're the same in our area Lilly...once in a while a bear follows the river but hes just moving through. Greg goes north about two-three hour drive from our place.

Bears drift in like smoke-it's amazing how such a big animal can be so quiet when they want to be. I wished I'd had an audio tape of all the bush sounds last night-there were grouse drumming, frogs going on and I bet 10 different birds-then just at dark the cranes, geese and ducks started flying over. Bears have quite a reportoire of sounds-I thought Sara would get scared when that old girl started popping her teeth. She just got a little shaky when we had to climb down and get out in the pitch dark-the bear were only about 50 yards off but i had my shotgun full of slugs just in case.

Got no bears around here.. Don't know if that is good or bad, I know I had a few scares with them when I as in Alaska, but those were Griz scares and not Blackies.....

I have a tougher job.. Trying to get a 12 year old girl to speak up.. Didn't think it was possible to find a shier 12 year old than I was but I think I found one....

Our neighbour just had 2 grizzlys in their pasture earlier this week. (same folks that had 5 wolves in their back yard about a month ago)
Judy & Frank were within 30 feet of them snapping pictures... well Judy was snapping pics as Frank was stood there aiming the rifle, thats a little too close for me to be near a grizz. I'll see if I can snaffle onto the pics from Judy and post them here. :D

We have all kinds of blacks and grizzies here. :)

Ty saw a huge black wolf up along the river last week-they can stare right through you sometimes lol. we went out to move his stand and caught those bears in the meadow but they got across it too fast.

The boys got the coolest video last night-all three yearlings at about 15 yards-bears are such characters and that cinnamon phase is about the prettiest one I've ever seen. The momma is choclate brown and looks great too-there's a dead cow about a 1/4 mile from the bait and they haven't eaten on her yet-I guess rotten beaver tastes better than Angus beef lol.
