Husband charged with beating wife's would-be rapist to death

A New York man has been charged after authorities say he beat his wife's would-be rapist to death with a tire iron.
Police initially recommended Mamadou Diallo be charged with manslaughter. But according to a charging document provided by the Bronx District Attorney's office, he was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.

Diallo, 61, was released without bail

Mamadou Diallo raced home, took the elevator to the sixth floor and found Earl Nash, 43, in the hallway. Police say Diallo then attacked Nash and beat him severely.
When police arrived, Nash was unresponsive and had suffered severe trauma to his head and body. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to the NYPD.

Nenegale Diallo sustained contusions to her forehead in the assault but has since been released from the hospital, according to police.

Nash was well known to police. His criminal record includes 19 prior arrests including robbery, assault and arson, according to a law enforcement source.

Diallo's son, Abdul, told WCBS that he would have done the same thing his father did if he had been in the same situation.
"I think any husband would do the same thing as what he did," Abdul Diallo said. "You see your wife being attacked and sexually harassed, you're going to beat on the person. You are not just going to sit there and let the person leave or whatever. So I don't think he's wrong."

NYC woman says she battled attempted rapist for 20 minutes before husband beat him to death

Nenegale Diallo, the wife, told DNAInfo that she thought her kids might have been trying to return home Monday night, so she opened the door – but Nash forced his way inside.

"If you want something like money, please let me give you. Please, leave me alone," Nenegale said she told Nash, who locked both doors and began taking off his pants.

"I don't want anything. I don't want money. I'm going to rape you," he said, according to Nenegale’s account.

"I took my phone and see my husband's number first. I pressed the number. I made a loud noise, screaming, 'Please, help me! Help me! Call the police!'” Nenegale said. “Then he slapped me again. The phone is falling, but I was making noise so my husband could hear the noise."
I am not sure why He didn't call 911,.. but in a state of panic some people do not do what is sometimes common sense to others..

I don't advocate "pre-planned" vigilante justice, and the "details" need to be investigated more.. but if this man's story is true
If Trump offers to pardon this man he will get my vote.

Police first responded to a call about an assault and attempted rape at an apartment at 1240 Washington Ave. at 10:16 p.m. Monday.

A 51-year-old woman was inside her apartment when a man forced his way in, ripped her clothing off, attempted to rape her and struck her, causing contusions to her forehead, according to police.

The woman screamed, fought him off and used her cellphone to alert her husband, Mamadou Diallo, 61, who was outside of the apartment at the time, police said.

Diallo then located the alleged attacker, later identified by police as 43-year-old Earl D. Nash, in the hallway of the sixth floor and assaulted him with a metal pipe, a law enforcement source said.

When police arrived, they found Nash with severe head and body trauma. EMS took him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Diallo was later arrested and charged with manslaughter.

The couple's son told PIX11 his mother suffered two bumps on her forehead, a large scar on her back and multiple bruises during the attack.

“I was shocked, I was mad, I had many different emotions going through my mind,” Ibrahim Diallo said, adding that he was relieved his father was nearby. “I don’t care what they say. I’m glad he was there.”

I don't have 911 as the It would take me a swipe, I would have to hit the little phone button, hit key pad, type 911, and hit call

it makes a person "rethink" how their smart phone is set up.. and if they have a taser.. (which is illegal in this part of the country. )

The President can only pardon "Federal" crimes..................

In the United States, the pardon power for federal crimes is granted to the President of the United States under Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution which states that the President "shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment ...
