HSUS has $20 Million shortfall and issues layoffs
The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) says the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has laid off 55 staffers--about 10% of its staff--in the midst of a financial shortfall that CCF believes is at least $20 million. CCF says it received its information from an anonymous source. The news follows an announcement by HSUS that its Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable, Massachusetts, will be shut down on Nov. 18, also due to "balancing economics with strategy". The facility represents a $750,000 operating cost for HSUS every year. CCF says the HSUS layoffs come despite HSUS putting $150 million into offshore funds accounts in the Caribbean and
Bermuda and paying $450,000 compensation package for its CEO, Wayne Pacelle, as well as six-figure packages for 42 staffers in 2015.

They are talking about BIG money here. $150 million into offshore and the first thing they do to cut back is something that affects the animals???
What a phony-baloney organization. But who didn't know that....at least on this site.
