We had something similar on this ranch. This hiefer was a Hereford, in a mostly Charolais cowherd, and calved at 15 months, then calved each year following, gaining a month on her first calf birth date. She was sold shortly, probably due to embarrassing the production rate of the Char. cows!!!
Speaking of twins.....have any of you heard about that herd in s.e. ND where there were 50 sets of twins born into a herd of 300 first calf hiefers, and they thought there might be more, as there were some yet to calve. What a mess! Those guys didn't really see twins as an unmitigated blessing, to say the least! A relative in MN told me the story, then I read it in the Green Sheet, ag paper out of Aberdeen, SD.
