and I have a question.

If ' we' , the US were so upset and concerned with the horrid treatment of the citizens of Iraq under Saddam Hussein....why are we not on the road to Zimbabwe right this minute?
:???: :???:
Or Darfur?
:???: :???:

Or Myanmar?
:???: :???:

What's the difference?

** Iraq did not attack us** so don't use that old line.

I don't think "we" really were concerned about the people. Iraq was about oil the first time, and then carrying through your threats the second.

Why did Slick go into Bosnia but ignore (and then lie about) Rwanda?

I been thinking

Thinking can be a dangerous practice for those not accustomed to such arduous activities.

By asking such an obviously leading question shows that you are not very seasoned practitioner.

:p :p :p :p :p

First off, "I been thinking is a misleading title" I came looking for a Joke or something and found a serious question

We did not attack Iraq to help their citizens, that was just a perk to come from it. We did not attack Iraq because we believed they attacked us on 911.

We attacked Iraq because after 911 we could no longer allow nations that were led by Radical Muslims to be a threat to us any longer. Saddam just helped speed up the process because of all the U.N. sanctions he was not honoring. And since he has had and used WMD's in past he was one of the more pressing threats as to helping terrorist to attack us again!

Saddam created his own demise, he let everyone believe he had WMD's, he made threats towards America, violated the Treaty agreement and he was a Radical Muslim! Bad combination in light of 911 to be in!

Iran will probably be next because they are now the leading Radical Muslim nation that has made threats towards America and they like Saddam are giving us a reason to attack them with their pursuit of nukes.

Iraq was preventative maintenance. Better to change your oil before the motor starts knocking. Shame that Clinton never read the owners manual on protecting the U.S.

I can best explain it using an analogy. It is kind of like a recipe. Iraq had compiled so many of the ingredients that it gave the US the ability to justify their actions. Those ingredients had been building up from years before, including BC's reasons why he should act.

Kola, bless your heart. Are you through thinking now?
Iran may even be more of a threat with developement of nukes. Invasion ain't the answer but bombing the nuke sites should help slow them down. We need to finish in Iraq first and I think we are making progress.
