I've tried listening for the lefts condemnation. Listen to the people who are always so quick to condemn our country and our men and women in uniform for their so-called human rights violations. Let's see if any of these great and glorious defenders of human rights step forth and condemn the Islamic Jihadists for murdering two American soldiers in their custody. Yeah ................................... we're waiting for that one.

and waiting............................

I hope you didn't think I was condemning you R2. Kinda makes you want to give your kids a big hug, doesn't it.

Thanks to our soldiers for your service.

Thanks passin thru for posting this. I just heard on Fox the horrific, inhuman, torture and butchering of our 2 soldiers. To all those that like to post statements like "no wonder no one likes the USA", I have one thing to say. Go live with the brutality of the Islam extremists. This definetly is a war between good and evil. The scary part is that there is not a country that doesn't have these butcherers living amongst us. When are they going to rise up and do this very thing to our loved ones? When there are some that cry foul when a Koran is supposedly flushed down the toilet, and now are silent in this horrific act, it shows the absolute worst in a person.

And we are supposed to be torturing at Git-Mo?

I'm not defending the murderers of these young men. But are you telling me if the United States of America was invaded by another country, you wouldn't kill their soldiers? Those young men are occuping another country. George W. Bush sent them off to destroy a country because he hated the guy who ran it. That's the bottom line. The Iraqi "government" has said they're willing to give amnesty to insurgents who will lay down their arms. Does that include the ones who killed these young men? The US Army just charged three soldiers with murdering an Iraqi. Recently a pregnant woman was killed by Us soldiers at a checkpoint. The Haditha incident is not going away. Iraqis were tortured in Abu Ghraib prison. GitMo is so bad even President Bush wants to close it.

It used to make me angry when some on this board held Saddam up as a standard to compare the United States of America to. But after all Bush has done to this country, it only makes me sad that he's lowered my wonderful country into the same pit as dictators like Saddam. You should be ashamed, too.

And someone should be court martialed for leaving these three young men alone in that area.

We are torturing at GitMo. The difference is that once upon a time, the United States was a better country than Iraq. Today that's questionable. Thanks, George W. Bush, for taking a country once hailed by many in the world as a beacon of hope, of liberty, of freedom, and turning it into a place that even your own citizens on this board compare to Iraq under Saddam. I don't feel any pride in that change.

We are torturing at GitMo.

I say you're a liar. A DAMN LIAR!

You know no more about git-mo than what you've read.

Torturing is what they do in IRAQ by cutting heads off, pulling legs and arms off, etc.

Playing loud music, putting heads under water, etc. is not "Torture" by any standards compared to those in IRAQ.

Why don't you take responsibility for some of those detainees in your home instead of leaving them at gitmo?

You have no pride.

Go ahead and call names. It shows you don't have an argument to make.

I might take them in if Bush didn't have them locked up and torturing them. How can you defend keeping an American citizen in jail without a lawyer or charges for three years? Bush did that. Don't you believe in the US Constitution?

I have pride in the United States. I have disgust for this administration that has pulled this country down into the dirt with other nations that torture, abuse and murder. And I have disgust for people on this board who support it.

Dis, I'd like you to live in a country like Iraq was and then see you run with your tail between your legs to the first US soldier to save your sorry _____!!!! I am so thankful to the proud and patriotic citizens we do have in our country that would save even you, if need be, just because that is the right thing to do.

I'm not going anywhere. This is my country. You can get mad, call me names, whatever, but the truth is: it's no fault of their own, but these young American men were sent to invade a country that posed no threat to the US. It should be no surprise to anyone that Iraqis are fighting back. I believe you'd do the same if the US were invaded. Am I wrong?

Yea, you take them. We'll see how long you'd make it too.

You have pride in nothing. Not even yourself. It's obvious.

Of course, the Iraqis are fighting back. They're mostly Sunnis. Read any newspaper or newsmagazine.

Terrorists are from Iraq and also coming from Iran and many other Muslim countries for their best chance to kill an American. Iran is mostly Shiite so they support the current government in Iraq because it's dominated by the Shiites. They've infilitrated the southern part of Iraq and are trying to impose strict Shira (religious) law in that region. The British have been in charge of the southern area and have been drawing down their troop numers for quite a while. When the British announced they were turning security in parts of the south over to the Iraqis, Japan announced they're pulling their troops out. Apparently they're not to confident about the Iraq Army's ability to maintain order.

Al Qaida is a world wide organization. That's why it cannot be defeated militarily. And why our solders should come home. Our military and even Rumsfeld last year wanted to change the name from "War on Terror" because it suggested that we could defeat terrorism with guns and soldiers. They know it's not true and wanted a name that better matched the mission. George W. Bush refused to change the name. He likes it.
