yesterday so headed to town,do a lil socializin was quite a crowd at the waterhole been wet around here so thats why we were in there but anyway someone was talkin about women and how they complain about drinkin.
Now I have heard some good reasons for drinkin but I must admitt this one made sense it goes sumthin like this here.
get you a glass of water and a glass of whiskey, drop a worm in the water and he does just fine, now drop him in the whiskey, kills him almost instantly so...................if you drink you wont ever get worms, hafta admitt there is some logic there :D
good luck

PS not to sure how many women would see the logic tho :???:

No mud here for another 6 weeks Haymaker, maybe you better grow some winter hair and come for a visit.
White hair doesn't have as much insulation value. :)

There must be some truth to that...............been cold ever since my hair turned white which was 21 they say its a vitamin deficiency but I figger its because Im old, truth be told I was born old...........but still manage to get around drink a whiskey or 2 shoe my horses and pray for rain,be nice to get some stock back on the places again.
good luck

PS anytime you wanna test your physical fittness, shoe 2 or 3 horses, you will be damn glad to pay a shoer :D

I became allergic to idiot blocks over 20 years ago but I have pitched a few. Never could wear gloves either, my fingers used to get pretty thick by summers end. :D

Haymaker...that theory don't hold a whole lotta water. Even the earth worms are drownin in water here. I took this yesterday as we were draggin dead cows outta the mud.

 Went to check the mineral trough under a cowshead in a lot yesterday. What a mess. Decided to open one gate and close another to change their in and out route. Stepped off in this muck and bottomed a quarter inch before it came over the top of my rubber boots.

Well Lilly and Haymaker- I got something that would take care of your mud problems-----its supposed to be 15 to 20 Below tonight with 30 Below chill factors....
Already down to 8 Below-- but we lucked out and missed the 6 inchs of snow and freezing rain they had predicted.... That went south and west of us- and we got the cold....

But one good thing is that sun is getting warmer...Altho the temp only got up to about 10 degrees today-- snow was melting off the roofs from the heat of the sun...

Melted all day here, 23 F right now. Most of Jan. and so far this month have been extremely mild for this country. About 10 days and most of our neighbors will be calving. Bound to turn off cold then.
