For almost I had the euphoria of shooting the biggest buck-till Ty shot this hawg. I haven't seen him yet but Ty says he grosses 187 and nets 174. They got REALLY lucky-him and his buddy ran out of gas and were sitting waiting for rescue when a truck pulled up and guy started pounding on the door about the big buck that had just crossed behind him. Ty got the job done and has his first Boone and Crockett whitetail.

I'd gladly take some U'S friends hunting but unless you are a registered outfitter it isn't allowed. In fact they don't allow guiding at all in our zone-I'd swap a Utah mulie hunt in a minute if I could. Ty got pretty lucky yesterday but at least he sealed the deal.

NR, I am curious, what type of poaching troubles do you have up there...we have a pretty good supply of nice bucks here, and the poaching is getting WAY out of control....Arkansas guys just got busted last week with a big one. and there are a LOT of guys out at night spotlighting.

Our deer herd up here is probably the most nighthunted and poached herd in the country-over half the people up here are aboriginal and can hunt year around night or day not that they are the only night hunters. Yanuck he's never shot an elk yet-elk season is during football season up here but he sure would like to.

Funny thing Ty was just saying he wished I'd of been home to take field pics for him. I was away coaching Emily's hockey team so I didn't even see the buck till the next day. At least his tongue isn't hanging out-Ty never had his camera with him and his buddy didn't want to have to unload him again to take pics-it is too bad though.

I never cared or noticed until you had mentioned it before.I unloaded mine at the end of my driveway to take the pictures.
