Lol, maybe OT is just trying to make sure it's all out the door before he lets up any. It's really kind of amusing to see so much hatred for a past president and all the blame placed (not always in the right spot) just because of a party affiliation. :???:

Actually- its a party (even voted for Bush) I had supported for so long- I feel like a woman scorned for their refusal to shut Bush down...
And I'm thoughly convinced-just as I took off the rose colored glasses 3-4 years ago when I saw where he's leading us- we will be feeling the negative affects of his policies and Bushenomics for years to come......

Looking at what he's made of and what he supports, our country will be in much better shape if he fails then if he succeeds. Therefore, what is the sense in hoping for his success?

The thing is-- our CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN will already be paying for the "Fiscal Conservaty" of George Bush- and the backslapping, rubberstamping, unregulating, unquestioning Republican majority Congress--- and now look where we are....
Yours and My generation will never recoup the loss's-- and according to the economists I now listen to ( sorry if I don't buy into GW's anymore  )- unless major amounts are funneled into the economy- along with taxcuts- the US economy (thanks to GW's being asleep at the wheel) will cease to exist....
I don't really want to live like the Mexicans or the Chinese- do you :???: .....

If you're upset about your grandchildren paying debt incurred today, how can you support Obama's biggest pork giveaway in the history of the country?

The people are NOT hoping he fails they are saying what he wants to do will fail. Just because they disagree with him does NOT mean they are NEGATIVE it just means they are realist.

Why are we suppose to support a bill that will pay acorn for its bully tactics?
Why are going to pay 75 million for an antismoking agenda?
Why are we giving money to foreign countries to build abortion clinics?

Oh........ I see. Now we are supposed to go out and borrow $8-9 Trillion more and add it to the deficit to payoff that debt?

Just because you're stupid enough to be duped by the media into thinking that Bush was the problem, you are for digging a hole that we'll never get out of?

Group Think

Symptoms of groupthink

In order to make groupthink testable, Irving Janis devised eight symptoms that are indicative of groupthink (1977).

1. Illusions of invulnerability creating excessive optimism and encouraging risk taking.
2. Rationalising warnings that might challenge the group's assumptions.
3. Unquestioned belief in the morality of the group, causing members to ignore the consequences of their actions.
4. Stereotyping those who are opposed to the group as weak, evil, disfigured, impotent, or stupid.
5. Direct pressure to conform placed on any member who questions the group, couched in terms of "disloyalty".
6. Self censorship of ideas that deviate from the apparent group consensus.
7. Illusions of unanimity among group members, silence is viewed as agreement.
8. Mindguards — self-appointed members who shield the group from dissenting information.

Groupthink, resulting from the symptoms listed above, results in defective desision making. That is, consensus driven decisions are the result of the following practices of groupthinking:

1. Incomplete survey of alternatives
2. Incomplete survey of objectives
3. Failure to examine risks of prefered choice
4. Failure to reevaluate previously rejected alternatives
5. Poor information search
6. Selection bias in collecting information
7. Failure to work out contigency plans.
