A-plus....just a reminder, the US did NOT win WW2,they went in LATE after all the other countries that had been in from the BEGINNING,they went in fresh, they may have helped END the war they didn't WIN it,but then you'd have to leave your little proaganda filled MIND to understand and believe that......

After looking at how you strategically used your all caps. It makes me wonder if you are jealous of the U.S. or just hate America? The way you point out the word LATE. As if we owed anyone anything.

And even though my post had nothing to do with pointing out America's success in WWII. I will make this comment. If America did not come in LATE as you put it.

YOU would have failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I guess every Iraqi who disagrees with the US occupation is considered a terrorist?? There sure the hell isn't enough money in this country to fight that war and the people of this country sure won't stand to become bankrupt trying to push democracy on those crazy savages. If you don't believe me just wait until November.

No just those KILLING our soldiers.

Disagree and Killing are two completely different stories!

I did not claim the U.S. single Handily won WW2 I said you guys would have lost if we did not enter.

The way you put LATE in all caps shows how you feel about the U.S. We came in on our time scale. It is no one else's responsibility to tell us when we must give blood and treasure.

If you want to point fingers why is it that Canada can make decisions now rather they will help in Iraq but we could not make our own decision when we choose to help in WW2? Pretty arrogant to point a finger of us coming in LATE when you choose not to fight our fight in Iraq.

You have that choice in Iraq but so did we in WW2.

And as for speaking German, you guys might have been speaking German but not us. If we could end the war with Japan with a couple bombs I am sure we could have did so with Germany before we learned the language.

Canadians did come in to Iraq LATE to help train policeman etc......But they did not support the invasion or help in it. I believe they even opposed us on it.

That is fine, you are a free country that has that choice but don't be a hypocrite and type LATE in regards when America joined the fight in WWII we had the same right then to stay out of a conflict as you Canadians did during the invasion of Iraq!

I can not help it that you hate America because we did not join WWII in the time line you felt we should have. I am sorry we came in LATE by your opinion.

I find it assaulting that you have the Gaul to type the world LATE In all caps. How many Canadians died in WW2? Like 40,000? Over 400,000 Americans died even though we came in LATE!

I am sorry it hurts your feelings that history proves the allied nations were loosing the war effort until America joined in. History not my opinion shows that America's joining was the turning point towards victory.

Your anti American feelings have became more and more obvious.

I'm hearing more and more folks comparing McCain to Goldwater --with some of the same criticisms as they did Goldwater when he ran...I had forgot that McCain had succeeded Goldwater as Arizona Senator until one of the "Arizona snowbirds" mentioned it today...

While Goldwater was not that old (only in his 50's) his white hair made him look old- and while he was younger than Johnson- many thought of him as a crotchetty old man....His hawkish foreign policy- and talk of using the Atom bomb - had many scared of him (this was during the cold war)....

McCains foreign policy- and hawkish stand is doing much the same now....His Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran singing (to the tune of Barbara Ann)- and his talk of 100 years of war is scaring many voters- young and old....
While he's doing this now to try and get the backing of the neocon Republican establishment like Rush, Hannity, and crew-- at the same time he's disenchanting many general election voters....

Like the snowbird today said- many see him as a bitter angry old man with one hand on the nuclear button- one foot in the grave- and only a banana peel away from blowing us all to tarnation.....

I think Barry Goldwater was the last STATESMAN we have had.
He was the first candidate I was old enough to vote for. I still think that if he would have gotten the Presidency, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in today.

He was ahead of his time and people didn't want to listen to what he had to say.

I'm definitely a Barry Goldwater fan. Definitely.

And I still don't like McCain.

Soap mentioned that the candidates have never run anything; too bad Romney stepped out. His record in Massachuttes showed he had SUCCESSFULLY ran that state. And had a good healthcare plan in place.

The US is silly. Just plain silly.

How true. The media can control most any election now. People are so caught up in materialism and being lovers of pleasure that they put no effort forth to understand the issues.

If a candidate says he will give free medical and the media promotes the subject and the candidate then the sheep vote for them.

No one ask who will pay for it, and what will be the down side of it.

As more and more parents spend time playing video games and watching American Idol the country will slip into socialism. Because the Dem's tickle the ears of those that listen for 5 minutes a day.

I feel so sorry for my kids and future grand-kids. I just hope I can instill something in them that will help the to survive in the mess they will have to endure in future.

I have very little doubt that America will be somewhere equivelant to Mexico in say 50 to 100 years if not sooner.

I liked Goldwater too...He was probably the most states rights candidate we've ever had run- and had many Libertarian leaning beliefs- thinking that many issues should be left to the individuals or the local governments....

But I remember my mother was scared to death of the man...The Dems ran an ad against him that ended with a video of a nuke bomb going off ( I think they only ran it once or twice before protests got it pulled)- but his hawkish attitude really killed his campaign...I remember my mother commenting to my friends and I that if Goldwater gets in office we'll all be drafted and fighting all over the world again...
Well she was right about getting drafted and fighting all over the world- but it was LBJ that did it.....

But I heard about the same words coming from the ladies we were with yesterday (several snowbirds coming back to this country)- all afraid that McCains warmongering talk would end up with their grandkids all being drafted....Also they all were quite upset with what they see as Bush's ruining of the economy and tie this now to Republicans-- (which I know several are)......Sounds like lots of retirement funds took a big hit..... :(

The elitists control the country- and it isn't going to matter that much who gets into office- they are all in somebodies pocket.....

Author: George Soros brains behind McCain-Feingold
'Activist wanted limits on advertising after Hillarycare defeat'

An investigative author says George Soros used Sen. John McCain to push for limits on issue advertising by grassroots groups because he was upset over the cataclysmic failure of Hillarycare, the all-encompassing government health care program proposed during Bill Clinton's first term as president.

The author, Richard Poe, told WND that Soros later funded the senator's Reform Institute because of their work together on the McCain-Feingold Act.

"Money paid to the Reform Institute rewarded McCain for pushing the McCain-Feingold Act, a law which restricts the ability of grassroots groups to advertise on television, while allowing major media free rein to promote their favorite Democrat candidates," Poe told WND.

According to the author, Soros devised McCain-Feingold in 1994 in response to the failure of Hillarycare, the universal health care program Hillary Clinton championed.

McCains connections with and what his campaign workers thought was an affair with a female lobbyiest during his last campaign is resurfacing...It sounds like the NY Times has more evidence of the affair/special favors it is going to release....I get the feeling they are trying to draw McCain into denials- and then going to lower the boom

From looking at his wife- and this lobbyiest- it appears McCain likes blondes- and definitely has better tastes than ol Bill Clinton had  :p

McCain will have a media battle on his hands if it is Obama against him. If the will turn on a Clinton no telling what they will do to McCain. The Liberal Media want Obama in office worse than I have ever seen them want someone. McCain better have all his skeletons hid well because if not they will be found.

The Media--This one is almost laughable....You can sure tell who Newsmax is supporting....Terms like "retools", "metamorphosis", "remaking his image" --- always before they called candidates a FLIP-FLOPPER when they did this....

McCain Retools Immigration Stance

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 3:30 PM

WASHINGTON -- John McCain faces a dilemma on immigration as he works to persuade conservatives he's tough enough on the issue without erasing his historic appeal to Hispanic voters.

Once a crusader for offering the nation's roughly 12 million undocumented immigrants a way to get legal status, McCain now says his first priority is fortifying U.S. borders.

The metamorphosis reflects McCain's intensifying effort to consolidate his support among conservatives, who deride the Arizona senator's past proposals on immigration as offering amnesty to lawbreakers, and bitterly resent his work with Democrats, including Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, on the issue.

Coming off a primary season where his immigration stance was seen as a major liability and GOP opponents hammered him for having an overly permissive approach, McCain is remaking his image with an eye toward the general election.
