Oligarchy!!!

That was a real good video, Lonecowboy.

Today we do have oligarchies because the mother's milk of politics, money, has bought off enough politicians that the laws can be ignored for the continuance of the oligarchs.

We might have needed to save our financial system to save the total restructuring of the economy due to the lies it was built on, but we still need to do the restructuring. We still live in a cardboard house and use candles to light it.

Many CEOs get paid the money they do because they protect the wealth of the oligarchs. They don't deserve the money they get but just like the retired CEO of Exxon, use their money to perpetuate the oligarch's wealth.

We don't have accountability of our politicians because it takes money to find out they are not doing right and let everyone else know about it. Without that money, politicians can do whatever they want and not be held accountable.

As your video described, we need the rule of law to protect our republic from the excesses of greed and power of the oligarchs. We need a court system that will enforce this rule of law as justice, not "just us" as is currently the case too often. The mother's milk of politics too often buys "just us" instead of justice.

It will be the ruin of our country.

Good post Tex.

The "slippage" in either direction from center, is dangerous in my opinion.

It either causes a "sling-shot" effect or progressive movement further away from center in one direction.

The US is fortunate enough to have an anchor.

But it seems that each successive administration is slowly slicing through the rope that attaches that anchor to it's mooring.
