I can't begin to describe how I feel, but most of you folks know just how I feel

Before

After. Since my first posting of the drought pics, we have had a few showers from .2 to .7, being the biggest, and weeds were growing, the ground softened and BINGO! Last night about 2.2"

After. The grass isn't dead, we will see how well it recovers.

After. Even if they are mostly weeds, the green is sure looking good!

I'm thinking, now, that we'll have some cows to winter.

Thanks, Lord.............just don't seem adequate, but He knows......

Good things come to those who wait......! :D

Rain is so wonderful. If your grass is like ours, regardless of what 'experts' say, it goes dormant in a drought and when moisture arrives, so does the grass.

Here's praying you get more!!!

Great news, shortgrass! Hope you get more while it's at it.

Last year, our new seeding looked to be dead and completely whizzled up for weeks before it got rain. It came back gang busters and even gave us a decent cut of green feed before the snow came.

Great news Shortgrass... A little rain can sure perk a guy up...

We were at the ranch rodeo today- and just toward the end started getting some rain... While we only got about a .10 (altho still raining lightly) - south of the Missouri had areas that received 1.5 to 3 inches ....

Glad you got some rain, Shortgrass. Two weeks ago today, I checked pastures and realized how dry conditions were looking. That night we got 2.2 inches of lovely rain, and we've had about another 1.8 inches since then. Now the hills are green and pretty again, and the weeds are growing very tall. We've had some hay down for about five days, but that is okay. Everything looks so much better than it did a year ago. Besides, the past several days have been cool and delightful. Hope you continue to get the moisture you need to keep the pastures on the upswing.
