If you think I'm happy, you're right!

I'm still happy! About 2.5 to 4.5 inches since the first of August, depending on what pasture. Yesterday, we had an inch by 9:00, and another .4 in the evening at home, but most places had .5 or .6 in the am, and .3 or .4 in the evening. Lots of grass is dead, but what is alive is going to be good by fall, and as much ground as I've got,and as few cows, 1/2 crop should be enough to get a good start on old man winter. The weeds are going gangbusters. Thanks for asking. Hope your country is in good shape.

Yay! I am so glad to hear you are still getting good rains . :D . Yes, this country looks good. We will still have to come off the forest early, but at least grew enough grass at home to feed them something when the girls get back. We still plan on weaning heifer calves early september, and shipping the steers by October 1. We are far from out of this drought, but at least we are getting a break.

Well Shortgrass, I think we need another update picture to monitor your grass situation down there :D
I hope things are still looking up.
