But...I'm a power, I need to know. What are they discussing, shouldn't I be included in their private meeting?

hypo give the rest of the story....
most times we "think" we need to be in a meeting when in fact we really dont have any influence on the outcome and all we would do is sidetract the decission making process.
ie~ your boss is changing working hours....no you really dont need to be in that meeting only higher supervisors and management. Then they disiminate the info to the rest of the employees.
ie~ banker and your wife changing the rate on your mortgage Yes you belong in that meeting
ie~congress passing law that you have to pay for and dont want ...sorry yes you are a power BUT you cant just walk in and expect them to listen to you.....even if its at thier office sorry but they have forgotten we are the boss NOT them.

So what is the rest of the story?????
You want an answer to an ambiguous question.

They are probably discussing you and the fact that you spend too much of their time on the internet. :)

You mean like when Bruce Babbitt had a meeting in our town that was suppose to be a "public" meeting but was turned into a "private-invitation only" meeting? That sort of a thing?
Then yes.

No one knew until after the meeting was over that is was to a "public" meeting, they also told people showing up that it was closed.

Aren't Democrats fun?

as every situation is different... with out knowing the circumstances it is hard to say.. but in general a business meeting is called and only the parties that "need" to be there are invited.

sometimes even well meaning business people exclude others from a discussion because the others don't suit their agenda.. and those businesses often fail..

I have also left a company that played games and held meetings to discuss details of the business and excluded key players from the meeting.. their company collapsed with the economy..

Senior Obama administration officials describe quite a dramatic scene at Climate Change Conference.

Officials say President Obama was frustrated. The conference was in complete chaos.

At about 730 pm Denmark time – the president was supposed to have left an hour before -- he learned that Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, with whom he was supposed to meet, was meeting with the leaders of India, South Africa, and Brazil – the main players holding up any sort of political agreement.

The president heard about this and said he wanted to go to the meeting.

“Four against one,” an official said to the president.

“No problem,” he replied.

A senior administration official says the president “barged into the meeting,” where he joined China’s Wen, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and South Africa's President Jacob Zuma.

The reporters’ pool note from that time said that President Obama walked into the room and called out from the door, “Mr. Premier, are you ready to see me? Are you ready?”

OBAMA: There have been times where America's shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.

Obama is a little boy who is trying to be a man....he has a HUGE chip on his shoulder, and will sell out anyone to make himself feel better.
