I'm multicultural

I had Anasazi beans and cornbread and buttermilk last night for supper. I had Texas cream peas and cornbread for lunch and with both meals I had some tabasco peppers to add a little spice. I've got the Indians, Mexicans, and the Texicans all covered here. I'll probably be in need of an Ozark outhouse soon.

Might as well eat some collards and okra and get the full effect.

Red Robin!!!!

You went right through my homeland. Mesa Verde is definitely a special treasure in my opinion. They just celebrated the 100 year anniversary of the park last year. You can see my Mom & Dad's place from the park, and they can see the park lights at night from their kitchen window. Those Anasazi beans you ate were likely grown on one of our neighboring farms.

It sounds like you had a very enjoyable trip. One stop you missed that is definitely worth it is Arches National park in Moab, Utah. That was the first stop Lazy Ace and I made after our wedding, on our way back north. We'd like to go back and go through Canyonlands and Monuments and go through more of Arches too.

Glad you got home safe and sound too. Did you stop at the New Mexico State Fair by chance? If memory serves me correctly, it should be on about now.

Cheers----

We did have a good time TTB and enjoied your parents country. I wish I had known we were that close to their place. We would have looked at some onion heads while we were there. We got as far north as the south end of the monument vally. We saw shiprock and a couple other monuments but the Utah side of the deal is a must see some day. We didn't make it to the state fair but should have. Here's a vacation picture or two. The first one showing that we let out hair down and eat green soupy stuff and get it on our chins while on vacation. The second is one of some of the mesa verde ruins just for you. Ignore the dates. We have a hard time keeping those correct for some reason.

Thanks for sharing the photos RR.

My folks would have enjoyed visiting with you and your family, and my Dad would have definitely enjoyed giving you a range tour. Their cows, however, are a ways from home, northwest of Mesa Verde a ways yet.

Your littlest is sure growing...you'll soon be beating the young men off by the hoards, if you aren't already with your older girls.

Did you find any okra along the way? Enough Texans have immigrated to SW Colorado/NW New Mexico to make fried okra readily available!

Cheers---
