Impeachment

In December of 1998, the House of Representatives, through a bill authored by serial adulterer Henry Hyde, during a lame-duck session of Congress where Speaker and serial adulterer Newt Gingrich (who started up with a mistress while his wife was in the hospital with cancer) had to hand over his gavel to Ray LaHood, during a floor debate marred by the resignation of potential House Speaker candidate and serial adulterer Bob Livingston, voted to impeach the President of the United States for only the second time in American history.

The hypocrites were alive and well in '98, too. And had already started using their majority to strenghten the Republican Party instead of strenghtening our Nation. :(

Listen carefully, it wasn't about adultery or sex. But then you knew that didn't you. He was impeached because he lied under oath to a Federal Grand Jury. That's called perjury. Perjury is a felony. It is an offense punishable by prison time for an ordinary citizen. It is a much more serious offense for an Officer of the Court, which all lawyers are. It is even more serious for the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of America, the President, to commit perjury, because it undermines the very foundation of our entire judicial system.
