In Kansas

Isn't it difficult to find anything positive coming from that organization?

Of course, fear does seen to stimulate donations to fight the battle of the moment, doesn't it?

Plum Island is outdated, is in a highly populated area, and while there may be 'prevailing winds' there are no guarantees that some sort of unusual storm could alter that handy system for blowing problems away from populated areas.

How do those people feel about we who raise the animals keeping out possible problems from research in their midst, rather than taking responsibility for it into our own less populated area within the center of our animal populations? Unless the facility could be part of that proposed colony on Mars, there is no good place for its, and we all can be guilty of being nimby's, reluctant as we are to admit to it.

I don't know the answers, but positive attitudes, best of science, and accuracy in reports seems the best solution. I'd rather have such a system at a high quality education and research facility with state of the art safety.
