Interesting facts

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election of 2008:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 .......... McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 .......... McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million .......... McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 .......... McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Yep- and I remember who signed into law the last Amnesty law- and who crawled in bed with Teddy Kennedy and co-sponsored the last Amnesty Bill...

Evidently not. Neither Republicans or Democrats do all things right, and neither Republicans or Democrats do all things wrong. However, when truth is revealed, the Democrats screw up 90 percent of the time to the Republicans only botching things up 10 percent of the time. These statistics have been prudently researched and compiled by the Soapweed Institute. :)

Reagan signed an amnesty law but it wasn't his and there were far, far fewer illegals roaming the USA then.

Plus companies had to attest to the employees status, and they to have been here for a few years before they got amnesty.

Yep-- but your last Champion- McCain- apparently didn't think there were too many roaming the USA just a few years ago either when he co-sponsored the Kennedy/Bush/McCain amnesty bill..... :???:

I don't care what McCain championed. I, unlike you, will not agree with every last thing my choice of candidate does or does not do.

I voted for the lessor of two evils. You voted for the supreme evilist and still defend him..........................................

Heck why abide by any law or reg. We can always say "well some one else did it".

What a society when we have to resort to "well some one else did it".

We don't accept that standard from ourt kids

IT HIGH TIME WE EXPECT HIGHER STANDARDS FROM OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS

AND WE WONDER WHY OUR POLITICIANS HAVE NO MORALS

STOP IT

Well, Obama promised on 10/28/08 he was going to "change" the fundamentals of United States of America. Yes, it is drastically changing. ..................... 1 out of 6 are on food stamps now.

When you get the people dependent on the government, they will vote in the one promising the most government benefits/services and it will be easy then to become a dictatorship.

For anyone to say we have less than 50 million illegals in this country, doesn't have their eyes open........

Here's a 2006 Comptrollers Office report just on the state of Texas alone....... imagine if the other states were factored in.........

http://www.scribd.com/doc/35378706/Comptroller-s-Report-Economic-Impact-of-Undocumented-Immigrants-in-Texas

Corporations got the cheap labor and bent Americans over for a royal screwing because we had to pick up the tab for their government services and education.......

(edited to add) and before anyone says that is a glowing report.... go figure up how much the state of Texas was subsidized by the federal government and it irritates me to spend my tax dollars on the illegal aliens and central bankers.
