This is a video of a new Ford plant in Brazil. One look at this and you will be
able to tell why there will probably never be another one built in the USA .

It will also point out why more assembly plants will go offshore.

"If only the UAW would allow it". How sad that the UAW and the envirowhackos will be what ruins our great country. What has happened to common sense?

Real thought provoking post, Soapweed.

I saw that a few days ago. Big labor has the same effect on a nation as far left socialism. It will eventually be self eliminating, but not without a huge cost to the nation, and huge benefits for other nations expanding manufacturing bases.

". . . but not without a huge cost to the nation. . . " is the understatement of the year - no century! It is my belief that the unions have been the cause of the demise of industry in North America.

For that matter, it makes no difference if labour or business gets too powerful; either one has the potential to destroy an economy.

The US automakers that have to pay big bucks to the UAW's outdated manufacturing ways are the ones in financial trouble.

There was a time in this country that unions were needed to protect the American worker. That time has long passed. We now have unions that are so powerful even the people they were meant to protect are powerless against them. We created a monster.
