Bill Would Ban Use Of USDA Quality Grade On Imports
Rep. Stephanie Herseth (D-SD) has introduced H.R. 4689, which would prohibit the USDA quality grade from being used for imported beef or lamb. Pork isn't covered under the legislation. Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD) has introduced a companion bill in the Senate.
