Well, at least something is hard down South.

Seriously, they quit making the $2.00 bills about ten years ago. We have a $2.00 coin now.
On one side there is a stinky old white haired carnivore......the other side has a polar bear.

I don't think there is much copper in any of our coins other than the pennies. They don't change color like your coins do.
They quit putting much silver in them in the 60's. Mostly nickel and or zinc, I believe.
Hey, I could send you some "Canadian Tire" money if you like. Maybe those "gals" of your's would accept it at par. It is printed on paper and comes in 5cent, 10cent, 25cent,50cent,$1.00 and $2.00 denominations. :D

Hanta, there are probably some still in circulation, but I'm pretty sure they haven't been made since '95 or '96. They were replaced by a $2.00 coin. Same with our $1.00 bills. They went to coins sometime in the '80's.

This is a bad joke and I apologize in advance......but I can't help myself..........What did you have to do to earn that 2 dollar bill????
Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!!!!! Please forgive me because I know not what I do!!!   :)

sw does some survey stuff for Doane Countryside Research, or whatever, they pay him, a couple researches ago they sent him a brand new, never used, CRISP $2 dollar bill, I knew we'd probably never see another one of those, so I have it safe in the safe. I surely remember when they were out full blast...people had a hard time with them cuz they couldn't DO THEIR MATH RIGHT!!! Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Haymaker, if you have that 2 buck bill, you may want to hang onto it as I think is fairly old. That wasn't the last run of those. There should be a date on it somewhere, but I think the $2 bills underwent at least one change, if not two since the one you pictured was issued and before they were terminated in favor of the toonie.
