I agree with very little that Dis posts or says- but I'm glad to see it...It shows that our country still allows dissension and allows a form of checks and balances by keeping both sides open to be called on the carpet for their actions...
While I disagree with the radical Liberal Micheal Moore, Cindy Sheehan, anti-military, soldier funeral type protests- I see nothing wrong with questioning politicians or administration policy...
Actually to me it gives faith that the country is still on the right track..As a history buff--my biggest fear is that history was/is repeating itself- that several administrations and almost all politicians support of and radical trending to corporatism - followed by 9/11, which gave us a strong return to militarism, with the terrorist war ( which I totally support)-- a move to put all class's in the background for a common racial enemy (radical muslims)-- a much stronger degree of nationalism, which also allowed a huge movement for more federal power, much larger federal government, and lessening of states rights thru the name of Homeland Security-- all play into the history of the 1920's and 1930's with the rise of facism, Nazism, and Mussolini and Hitler....
All that has been missing so far from putting a lot of it together is a charismatic strong leader- and a vocal minority, that questions every movement....
Thats why I always want to see enough Dis's in this world to balance out what could happen.....
