Maybe that is where the extra 7 States are located that your President referred to. So to answer you question, yes for each island.

short easy to understand answer.. yes...

fact. not quite...

The Hawaiian Islands (Hawaiian: Mokupuni o Hawai‘i) are an archipelago of eight major islands, several atolls, numerous smaller islets, and undersea seamounts in the North Pacific Ocean, extending some 1,500 miles (2,400 km) from the island of Hawaiʻi in the south to northernmost Kure Atoll (the northwesternmost island in Hawaii is Green Island, which is joined to the Kure Atoll). Excluding Midway, which is an unincorporated territory of the United States,

sometimes you have to look a bit deeper for the real answers..

Since both parents are to be US citizens for the baby to be considered a Natural Born Citizen and qualified to run for the US President the question should be Is KENYA in South Africa a US STATE? and the answer is NO.

Yes, Hawaii is a State, but when obama was born it was a new State. there were many "illegals' at that time and there was a race on to see how many non-native Hawaiians could be "naturalized" in a hurry, so Hawaii could get transfer payments from the Federal Government.

Do a little bit of reading Kola and you might learn why Hawaii is so reluctant to allow researching of the citizenship from back in the 60s.

There was also lots of welfare fraud that went on. Many people were well versed in stealing SSNs and identities, so as to take advantage of the "new" money being doled out by DC.

This money included college scholarships for "foreigners" etc. For example, if you could provide evidence of being an Indonesian citizen, even through adoption.
