Is He Happier Without Me?

Ranchy

This morning, my allergies were just about to do me in, so Hubby let me lay in. He fixed his own breakfast, his lunch, etc. This is nothing new, really, since he said that a wife is just a convenience, he's been doing a lot of his own "domestic" chores.
What is different, though, is that he and Al were talking up a storm, laughing, etc. When I'm around, there's never any laughing (at least for Hubby) and he'll barely say a few words........
Do you think he's realized that he's happier when I'm not around? Or is it just my meds doing the thinking for me this morning?

Well Ranchy, you could ask him that question BUT I imagine his answer would be "Don't be silly your imagining things"

I hope you get better fast,I suffered a chest infection ALL last winter, its really crappy feeling that way.

Now Now Ranchy. Don’t start the whining crap. He paid you a very nice complement by calling you a luxury. He put you in the class with a “new” truck. Cowboys don’t keep many luxuries around.
Women? About the only time they are a pain is when they start that “are you upset with me” or that “Do you still love me?” Whining junk that no man wants to put up with.
I hope you get well soon so that you can continue to prove to him that you are a luxury he can’t do without.
Even a new truck that gives him trouble will have to go.

He loves you girl. Hang in there.

It's the meds.

If he didn't want you around, you wouldn't be and he'd make it plain.

When we say, "I love you" don't expect to hear much more on the subject, until we change our minds. And then we will tell you.

Nawwww, it's probably just easier for him to talk to Al, kind of man to man.

Sometimes we are afraid to talk to you wimmen too much, as you don't take what we say, for what we mean. Men ARE from Mars and wimmen from Venus.

If a man ask a question, he wants an answer. A woman usually just wants to get something off from their chest and talk about the day or maybe vent. Womens questions don't always require an answer. Mens do.

Hang tuff'. :D

Do you get noise sensitive? I am sure he knows that is was trying to keep it quite so not to bother you. I am sure once the meds wear off you will see.

I am very self-sufficient but wouldn't trade my 'little woman' for anything!
I find that when with friends, the humour has different eg; remember when someone did - in the army? than the home style humour we share (she hates army references anyway) so there are different oppertunities for humour in different cicumstances (also catching up with friends elicits more laughter than a normal conversation!)

Yep, things are a lot better, since I got the new allergy medicine......not feeling nearly so crappy, and have a much better out-look on life in general.

Thanks, everyone. You're all a very special bunch of folks, and I'm glad I found this place.

Okey-dokey.  I'm just at a loss for words. The things you find to read on "Ranchersnet". If I knew how, I'd stress the word ranchers.
