I was wandering around the yard today in the rain- and realized
I'm probably going to have to mow the yard again...

The grass is still growing (and the weeds are growing faster)...

Something almost unheard of up here in the Great American Desert.
Usually this time of the year everything is totally dried out and brown...

And we have severe thunderstorm warnings again...

Is it really Sept 9th :???:

I ran a doe and fawn out of this little bunch of brush when I walked near it...
They were laying in the yard behind the bush's and the dogs didn't even realize it...

Yep, Sept 9th and the 2inch wide cracks finally closed up with a good rain, the feed store has Rye grass out for sale already and grocery stores are putting up Halloween banners. Where did the year go?

Does that gutter off the house actually go into that tree? Never would have occurred to me. :D

  Actually that is a post there next to my old 75 Olds that is hidden by the tree leaves- that I connected it to....Runs it out onto the grass....

Now - as the thunder rumbles with another thunderstorm- I see they have a tornado warning out for SE Montana near the ND line....

Wierd Wierd weather...

Boy- I must have POed Ol Ma Nature with my questioning the weather..
Storm hit- probably the worst this year for lightning and thunder...
No wind- but straight down rain...Picked up another 1/2 inch in 15 minutes...
This is what the yard looks like now with all the moisture we've had..
And its still raining lightly...
Not nice to question Mother Nature?

Raining here again this morning...Started in about midnite and rained lightly all night....I haven't wandered out to look at the rain gauge yet- but from looking at the dogs dish on the deck it must be near another 1/2 an inch.....
