Who owns most of the mines you might ask?

How would they know where these rare minerals might exist you might ask?

Mineral surveys were conducted on 41,315 acres
of the Pueblo Mountains Wilderness Study Area (OR-
002-08 l/NV-020-642) in southeastern Oregon and
northern Nevada, at the request of the U.S. Bureau of
Land Management (BLM).

This article ties Clinton to the uranium one and Russian sale as well.

Probably not. I imagine the mill is the one at blanding, it was mothballed for a long time.

For rags-to-riches story, google Charlie steen and Mi Vida mine. Charlie built the only privately owned mill @ moab.

Green river Utah, paradox basin, Monticello, naturita colo, delores river, dove creek, moab, etc----we staked thousands of claims. Some with Charlie's kid, mark. Most u.s. stuff ain't even worth the bother, lots runs maybe 8# to the ton---4 /10 of 1%, Canada's got some so hot they use robots, running over 30%.

Uranium prices fell in 2007 and the Fukishima reactor accident hit prices even more. Colorado alone has produced approx. 63 million lbs of uranium.

SOMEBODY has made some money on it, and somebody will make money on it in the future.

I think we sold uranium one about 4000 claims. a lode claim is 1500 x 600 feet, so about 22 acres. time you get it filed and first yrs 'assessment' paid, you'll be into it about 180$ per each.

I imagine they've all lapsed. lotsa u308 in se Utah, sw colo, but about all low grade.

and u.s. gets more anti mining, anti resource all the time.

another one of the ol' 'swing for the fences'---actually made a few $$ on this deal, but had uranium stayed up, we had very sweet royalty deal, first right of refusal on the drilling, etc. coulda shoulda woulda been a home run.
