We are in a cooling trend, Haymaker, just starting today.
It was 95 here yesterday, so we are looking foreward to cooler
weather. I hope you get some too. That heat gets so hard to take.
We've had more than our share this summer.
Mr. FH gets up wayyyy early, goes out til noon and then shades
up til evening. He just can't stand heat, never has been able to.
So he's figured out how to live with it.

Was up over 100 yesterday. Only in the 80's today. Supposed to stay like this for a few days.

We have to go gather a bunch of bulls tomorrow, for a neighbor. he just hires me and Jr to do it. Big rough pasture and about 15 bulls. hope it goes well. We'll be down there about first light, so it shouldn't be too warm.

I like to do as Fh's husband. Sure is nice to have an airconditioner in the leather shop. :D Thats a good place to spend a hot day.

Seems like Texas gets good n wound up in August as far as the temperature goes. I've always said August is the hottest month. Don't know if it's because by now we are good n tired of it or what. It does start gettin old long about now tho. Too hot to do much of anything after 10am, and don't cool off till who knows when. Last night around midnight it was still in the 90s. This time of year the headlights on the tractors come in handy for workin at night.

Beautiful day up here- had a rain shower during the night- but the clouds moved out about 10AM and sun came out, so I could get back to swathing....Temp only got to 81- tonite it is really cooling down- probably get down in the 40's the way it feels...

I can definitely handle this better than that 100 stuff- altho they say that may come back about Monday or so- but if things go good tomorrow I'll finish swathing for the year :) ...

high temp here on the ranch was only 78, but the smoky cloud covering our valley kept it like an oven.....can't even stand outside for more than a few minutes without feeling the burn in the lungs...have become surrounded by fires and not much of our usual breeze to get rid of the smoke....fires just across the border in Idaho, one just west in dillon and a biggun' near billings!!!
