If you don't wanna smell like an onion, you can try a salt water gurgle. Dissolve a half-teaspoon salt in a glass of warm water, gargle and spit out. Repeat up to four times a day.

feller was in here awhile back.. was using half apple cider vinager and half water too gargle with...... said it worked, but i bet it burns like a mother scratcher

hot water / lemon juice/ and honey.... mix to your tastes, but try to get as much lemon as you can.... peels the soar thought away nice and quick

Naw....mama always made us some whiskey/lemon juice/ honey....put it in a small cup warmed.....that was some good stuff. Little did I know when I was that age that I was drinkin a hot toddie. LOL She didn't give us much......but it was good.

Jigsy, I didn't give Haymaker that cure as I thought at his "advanced age" he wouldn't be limber enough to get the full benefits. :D

PS I dont know what worked best for my throat,tried bout everything that was posted and ........appreciated,something worked ,feel alot better.

Haymaker, if this dont go away soon.........head to the doctor. I had it 2 weeks ago and didn't go in because it was to far, too big a pain, etc. I had a ever of 103 up and down for 6 days, finnaly went to the emergency room yesterday. Have pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinus infection. Fever is gone and feeling better but sure out of wind easy.

Well we all know that Hay Maker usually acts a little feverish so . . . .

I dont have a fever,and i aint acting,gotta sore throat,probably need a good shot of whiskey,bout that time :D proven fact moderate alcohol and moderate exercise is the secret to longevity.
