It was a nice rain

Well, we're not getting inundated, but we've been getting showers almost daily since the 1st of June. We went from the excesses of March and April to the second driest May on record and now we're wet again. The country does look good!

I have all my hay up, the cattle that were leasing grass were gone, and I have done one custom large hay job. A few weeks ago I wanted the rain to stop but I'm ready to just let the rain fall.

There is still plenty of hay to get up around us but I will not lower my prices any more. The people that depend on the money from bailing hay have lowered the prices to where I will not try to compete with them.

The rain should start back up mid day today and rain for a few days. I can't remember a year it rained like this.

We haven't got a drop in the last two weeks and it shows now. All of the local ranchers are talking about the 2005 drought now heading into our dry season it don't look good. Luckly we haven't build our herd back yet like it was so we maybe ok this time around. A gulf storm would be nice now.

Need more than one.

No rain for 45 days. Nothing in the 10 day forecast to change it. Hitting 95 degrees with 13 mph winds.

Yeap Trinity man, I was just thinkin yesterday, bout time for a tropical to come in and give us some moisture. Cuz don't look like it's gonna happen any other way. All the storms that have gone thru the northern part of Texas have missed us completely....and it's gettin powerful dry down this way now.
