It's a Gift

Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts tossed softballs to Michelle Obama in an interview on Tuesday, asking the First Lady to explain how she "feels" when people like Sarah Palin make "light" of her husband's efforts to "make a better world."

After referencing Palin's speech to the tea party convention on Saturday, Roberts played a clip of the former Alaska governor mocking, “How's that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for you?” The GMA co-host offered this aggrieved question: "How do you feel when people are making light of something that was very important to the campaign and had every intent, and still do, to bring hope and change and make it a better world for people?"
A sympathetic Roberts then allowed the First Lady another chance to attack those who would criticize her husband. She empathized, "But, does it sting? Does it sting when you hear those things?" The journalist then simply sat quietly as Mrs. Obama proceeded to blame the Republicans for incivility in Washington.

The President's wife lectured, "You keep your hand held out. You keep that smile on your face. You stay open to the possibility of partnership and one day there will be another hand out there to accept yours. That is the beauty of Barack Obama. His hand stays out, positive and focused. It’s a gift."

She's just as big a hypocrite and BSer as her husband!

He's keeping his hand out? The same man who made the statement "We won?"

Michelle Obama's popularity is much higher than that of her husbands...
apparently with much of the US. Why, I have no idea. I'm not impessed
with either one of them.

I did see an interview where she was asked about Sarah Palin and
she said she didn't know as she didn't know Sarah Palin. That was
a pretty honest answer. That may have been on Larry King; I don't
watch that program, so it must have been a clip shown on Fox News.
Or somewhere else.

Gee seems the left doesn't want to discuss Michelle's comment to the press.

She's right Her husband's hand is out, to bad it is to anyone who can fund his next election. The proof is when he made the Fat Cat Bankers bonuses comment to get in good with middle America, then turned around and said he didn't begrudge the Goldman Sach and JP Morgan Executives their multi million dollar bonuses. Can't have them mad at him as they are one and three on the top ten Obama Donors list.
Another example is the tax on cadillac insurance policies then he exempts the Unions that put him in office.

If Obama is extending his hand to the Republicans in good faith then he should tell the Dems to stop the stories about passing the DEM Health Care Bill with a 51 vote when law says it takes a 60 votes to pass the Senate.

EVERY candidate always keeps their hand out,.....it's the way of their world.

If you have ever donated anything to any campaign.....you are the enabler....

You can't blame Obama for that as he din't invent it.....neither did Bush nor Clinton.

Prob if you want to lay blame.....I'd say lay blame @ Geroge Washington cause it prob started with him and buddies wanting favours.

Democrat Harry Reid writes in his memoir "The Good Fight": "`That speech was phenomenal, Barack,' I told him. And I will never forget his response. Without the barest hint of braggadocio or conceit, and with what I would describe as deep humility, he said quietly: `I have a gift, Harry."'

We have one for him next election too.

What about Obama's Gift to hold his hand out in a Bipartisan way like Michelle seems to think he has a gift of doing after he PLAINLY and BOLDLY told the Republican to shut up and stay out of his way.

How can he when before he attempts ANYTHING the right goes off on a tangent...' gonna unplug Gma'...." he's a Muslim" and all that BS

Bi partisan ship is just that...it works BOTH WAYS...

I don't blame any Pres for telling someone to shut up and get outta the way with all the stupid crap we're seeing come out of DC now.

Both sides are guilty but how can anyone work together when both are trying to hold each others head under water......

This president* campaigned on bipartisanship, yet as soon as he was elected, his attitude was "We won". That same attitude permeated the entire Democrat delegation and bipartisanship became a joke in his administration. The fact that he's whining about bipartisanship today is proof that the bipartisanship he promised in his campaigning was a promise he never intended to keep. He lied. Another "gift".

His idea of bipartisanship is both sides agreeing with him and giving him full rein. When he doesn't get that, he whines about the party of "No". He doesn't have the sense to know that his ideas are so fundamentally wrong to anybody with a shred of conservatism that the only choice they have is to say "NO".

This is like one individual trying to shoot another in the head and complaining that they keep moving and won't hold still.

Name one President, ever, who made bipartisanship one of the pillars of his campaign and then when confronted with it immediately after assuming office, dismissed it with the comment, "We won."

Why not just answer my question....straight out?

You can't can you?

I would guess that all of them did - and that all of them then followed through with that pledge as evidenced by this administration being the most partisan administration that we've ever had.

You want to answer my question now?

He also campaigned on CHANGE

If Obama really wants to be a true Bipartisanship President then answer this why would he call a bipartisan meeting on the Health Care bill that 61% of Americans DON"T WANT, and still allow Pelosi and Ried to announce they have every intention of changing the Senate rules so they can push through "their" Health Care bill that they couldn't pass with a super majority and filibuster proof Senate? This guy has no intention of coming to any table with an open mind. He plans on coming to the table with his best blame game attitude which includes bullying tactics, cheap shots, lies, and back room dirty deals because "HE WON".

BTW who is really lieing about what is in the Health Care Bill? Obama has said for months that you would beable to keep your doctor and insurance. BUT the other day he had to finally admit he was not telling the truth about that little fact as SURPRISE SURPRISE there was something in the bill that VIOLATES that promise. WHo was warning of this little fact for months and were called liars by Obama and his supporters.

Oh and if there wasn't Death Panels as some claimed there was and were called liars for their troubles then why when Sarah Palin twittered about them did the Obama Administration announce they were rewriting that part of the bill?

Last example about his bipartisanship, he blames the Republicans as being the party of NO and for nothing getting through. Tell me if what he wants is so great and on the up and up why did it take some very non-transparent backroom (ie not for CSpan Viewing) dirty deals to even get his own party to vote for it? It is time to admit since he had a filibuster proof Senate the only thing bipartisan about the Health Care Bill was the ones saying NO.
