What a difference a day makes.

The second good news of the day. (moisture is 1)

Must have been too stormy for my Coyote protector to get the job done last night so she is helping with chores instead.

The reason my sons bus was late this morning. Turn around and go an extra six miles to get to the other side.

It just doesn't fit like that.

Up and ready to go.

Off to Brooks, yikes! Probably a good thing he was late, give the roads out there where it really did storm a chance to be cleared.

Lucky that applecart didn't upset-it's been raining here since yesterday morning just about got the 6 inches of snow melted-I'm kicking the yard cattle out so I don't bog any down.

We are getting manna from heaven today too. It is very welcome. Scary ride for the trucker. The bus did not run here today. The roads are impassable at the moment.

Good to hear of all the moisture around. This is mighty wet snow and welcome here. The truck was pulling out of a narrow driveway and needs all the road and a bit more to make the corner. Things were a tad slippery this morning. Just talked to a neighbor where our ranch is and there is not much there. Oh well, take whatever comes.

Glad you guys are getting moisture. We have enough for the moment and it should give the grass guys some enthusiasm at the sale barns.

We had a live set of twins this morning and another old cow fulfilled her lifelong dream by getting on her back. Lost both the cow and the calf.

Tommorow's another day.

Per that truck made a good road block, good pics, Glad to see you got some of the wet stuff also.

Gcreekrch, sorry to hear about your cast cow. That doesn't do much to brighten a guys day when you find those deals.

Nice to see your getting some moisture. Maybe Alberta will beable to give Sask back some of it's hay this year. :D
Those 53 ft tridem seem to be one cumbersome trailer. Seems that everything was built for 40/45's and then they just had to go longer.

I heard last night some of the snow north of Medicine Hat was so heavy a grade had a hard time moving it .

I just got thinking that if that had happened near us the school bus would have about a 40 mile one way detour.

Thanks for the pictures, per. Your moisture is very welcome, no matter if it is colored white or comes in clear form.

Sorry about the upside down cow, Gcreek. If one old cow digs a bit of a hole heading for China, it doesn't take another cow laying wrong to get dis "Oriented" and kick the bucket.

Sorry for your loss gcreek. Does anyone know how long she can be cast before she dies?

If you could lift the back axle it would sure help with maneuvering those pots.

The storm looked like it would make it to the Big Muddy. Did you get any moisture BMR?

Thanks for the condolences for my demised cow guys. :)

Weatherwise it was a beautiful warm day, today is supposed to be warmer. We had a record day for calves born on this ranch with 23 being born in a 24 hr period.

Started today by replacing a prolapse at 1:00 AM. Cow in the spruce. Hauled the calf to the barn, walked the cow in, tail block with Lidocaine, stuff the mattress back into the Coke bottle, fed the calf, showered, pillow to pillow an hour and a half.

Pretty impressive gcreek. You are fairly efficient. When you first get started it is hard to believe it could possibly fit in there. :?

Must have been the day for wrecks. :? I lost a yearling bull right in the pen. His feed hadn't changed all winter except it might be more grass and less alfalfa now but he bloated up and died. Our corrals are hard walking in as they are muddy and slippery. Britt was helping me this morning put in a new pair and another heifer ran her down. We don't know what;'s up with that but we got her number and she's on the watch list.

.

Don't count on it BMR the snow yet again missed our area completely. :?

No snow yesterday but the wind was howling as usual, managed to get a few gals AI'd yesterday though. Shipped a abull that I sold so that is one less mouth to feed now to get the rest of them out of here.

I heard some of your areas were getting dumped on, glad to hear about the moisture at least someone is getting it. I hope everything is alright though after a storm like that.

Well my bad luck was a 4H heifer stepping on her calf and killing it while I was bottlefeeding one born in the storm-these 7 pen calvers are going to be more trouble than the last 500 born on grass. If you see a bull in my pasture before 7/20 just shoot the S.O.B then come pump one in me for being that dumb.
