We just had a little thunderstorm pass through, and it provided a quarter inch of rain. Pretty nifty, and the air smells good. It's still quite warm (74 degrees) and a brisk hot wind is now blowing out of the north.

Big Muddy, Soapweed, get your fans sucking air from this direction. We are sitting at four inches in this rain, and its still raining. We are getting pretty sick of it, so are more than willing to share!

We had weather warnings for yesterday evening. And they were right.

We got a tenth of an inch of rain. Guess they were afraid we'd shrink
if we were out it in itl :p

Can you tell I'm excited! :D

I could see the storms rolling down your way Jinglebob. Actually I sent them. Ya, that's it, that's the ticket. You can thank me.

We had T-storms on three sides of us, but 15 drops is all I measured. And I WAS counting them.

One time a good neighbor and I were up on a highpoint watching for fires during a storm. Another neighbor, and the local fire chief (who happens to be LB's brother in law) was in his pickup on another hill and he came on the radio to ask how it was going our way. My neighbor said we were just standing outside the pickup enjoying the few drops of rain that were starting to fall. The chief comes back on and says to hurry up and get back in the pickup so the rain that was falling could do some good.
 Did I explain that good enough for the slow thinkers?  Every drop is precious in this country.

Glad i made your day fh. :D

Thanks Tap! I owe you one! :D

And yup, I understand the rain commment. Thats why I always wear a slicker. Even in the slightest shower. I want every drop of rain to hit the ground. It ain't going to do any good if it soaks into my old crusty hide. Besides, I've been dry for so long, that if I got to wet, I might swell up like a dry old cowcube when it gets wet, and burst right out of my clothes! Not a pretty sight!

I better get off from here and go ride around in the mud before it all goes away!

Mr. FH says that water won't hurt you unless it has soap in it.
(That's what he tells our grandson who would rather not take a shower.)

Hey, he had emptied the rain guage last night so all in all, we got
A QUARTER OF AN INCH!!! WOO HOOO, I was 250% wrong!!!!!!

You done all right, JB! I only got .10" here last night. I heard there was a lightning caused fire on my neighbor's at the other place that burned about 5 acres. Since it was Flag Day I went to the church cemetary and put a new flag pole up yesterday. I saw the local fire truck was gone and don't know if that's where it went or not. The wind would have been pushing the fire your direction!

When I went up to the neighbors to get a stray steer, I saw that the firehall was open and the newer truck was gone. When I got to the neighbors, they didn't know anything about it. This is the neighbor to the north of the church. He is on a high hill and I looked all around and couldn't see any smoke. This would have been around 9 am.

I heard on the news there were several between Red Owl and White Owl.

When I get enough rain, I'll send you the extra.

Sorry you guys didn't get much. Your turn is coming.
