2nd Annual Jacobson-Klein Memorial Riding Set for Sept. 30
Bowman, ND-The 2nd Annual Jacobson-Klein Memorial Riding is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Sept. 30th at the new multi-purpose building in Bowman, ND. The memorial riding will feature 25 saddle bronc riders, 15 bareback riding, and 15 bull riders.
The riding is in memory of brothers Justin and Casey Jacobson and close friend Brandon Klein, who passed away in a car accident in 2005. The boys were coming home from a rodeo at White Earth, ND at the time of their death. All three were active participants in high school rodeo, college rodeo and North Dakota Rodeo Association. Justin was a top contender in the PRCA Badlands Circuit and the NPRA rodeo association.
The memorial riding is a way for friends of the boys to celebrate what Justin, Casey and Brandon truly loved-good broncs and tuff competition," said Travis Hande, Event Manager.
Anytime you have a memorial riding with a certain caliber of competition, you will notice the riders will try a little harder and the horses even seem to buck better," said Hande. "The memorial will feature the best horses in a Tri-State area and great riders from North Dakota , South Dakota , Montana , and Wyoming ."
A $1,000 purse will be added to the Bareback and Bull Riding events, while $2,500 will be added to in the Saddle Bronc Riding. For more information or entries please contact Travis Hande (701) 590-0501 or Shane Gunderson at (701)400-4534
