Fonda Reprises A Famous Role At Peace Rally
The Actress Speaks Out Against the War in Iraq

By Linton Weeks
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, January 28, 2007; Page D01

For her next act, Jane Fonda has entered the war against the Iraq war. At the tail-end of yesterday's on-the-Mall rally, organized by United for Peace and Justice, Fonda stood onstage with the Capitol behind her and addressed the sun-drenched thousands. "I haven't spoken at an antiwar rally in 34 years," she said. But, "Silence is no longer an option."

RED ROBIN-- You are full of CRAP--I have posted several times on here about my dislikes of Hanoi Jane-- including about my favorite urinal target at the VFW...Its so called Republicans- conservatives like you that lump everything or everyone in a basket because they have the intelligence to ask questions that is killing the Republican Party....

Find me where I have ever posted anything against a soldier.......

You havn't been paying close attention OT. You are in the same basket as your lovely friend jane because you are against the war. As far as posting against the soldiers, I never said you did. You seem a little grumpy. If I woke up and found out Jane had joined my camp, I would be grumpy too. Not to mention that your nipples are getting raw since you burned your bra.:lol2:

Not only would being Team Mates with Jane Fonda depress you but to share the same politics with the rest of them also, could sure put a guy in a blue mood

Actor Sean Penn said legislators will pay a price in the 2008 elections if they do not take firmer action than to pass a non-binding resolution against the war, the course Congress is now taking.

"If they don't stand up and make a resolution as binding as the death toll, we're not going to be behind those politicians," he said. Actors Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Danny Glover also spoke.

Right here is a good time to say you are for it. I could have been wrong but I thought that was the gist of your posts. No need to go look though, just tell me you support the war.

What if you support the troops and want to give them everything to get their job done and keep them safe as possible, but think the war has been handled/planned like a Tiajuana Clusterbuck?

I have from day one supported the war-- and still do- but I have questioned if the Politicians are again hamstringging the troops as they did in Vietnam....I do not want to see that happen again- and hope it hasn't/won't...But the signs were/are there...If they are going to fight a war then do it...Let the military do their job.....

But every time I hear the protesters of anyone who does not click thier heels or salute "Sig Heil" to GW, or Rummy when they mention the war- or happen to question it - and the neocons jump down their throats as traitors- I think of this quote.....

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Way to go OT....back RR up in a corner and make him defend that mouth!!

Personally I like Jane, have met her on several instances since she ' used' to be my neighbor.

I support the troops over there 110% but I detest the ways and means as to how it came about and how we are now sucked into someone elses' problems AND I detest ' Dubya' to boot!!

So there!! Run screaming saying that I'm anti-whateverinthehell .
