After walking to a hilltop for cell phone reception to make a call, help was soon on the way.

Just as well suck on a little pure white snow to pass the time.

Jesse's dad, who came along for the ride

The snow was deeper than anticipated. The first time I got stuck in mud along a meadow, because the ground wasn't frozen underneath the snow. Good ol' JF Ranch came to my rescue with a four-wheel-drive tractor. We took some older cows to his ranch, and he and his son are feeding them hay and will calve them out for us.
