I guess it's o.k. to guess at the prevalence of BSE.

Some countries test vigorously.

I think as long as Johanns allows Canadian beef into the U.S., trust doesn't matter to MLA, neither do the facts.

I wonder what Johanns Ouija Board would show when they throw Canadian imported cattle with an open border into the mix :???: -- since Canada already has 6 origin cases in a cattle population of about 1/7th the size of the US herd- and 3 of those are POST feedban, second or third generation origin?.....

They did allow Canadian cattle into the models for the equation OT.

After the lengthy reading I did on the "Prevalence" study I found that they did leave out one important point:

I CAN FIND NOWHERE IN IT WHERE THEY INCLUDED THE EFFICACY (OR RATHER "IN-EFFICACY") OF THE BSE TESTS THAT WERE USED BEFORE THEY STARTED USING THE WESTERN BLOT AS CONFIRMATORY TESTS.

Does anybody remember all those false postives (inconclusives) that were confirmed as negative? What if they were confirmed with the same experimental IHC tests that failed to confirm the Texas cow?

I'm still studying. I'm sure there is more.

MR, I appreciate your attempts to read minds and assume facts not in evidence.

I would ask that for your family's sake, you don't quit your day job.
