Stop Having Kids!’: Judge Orders Man Owing $100K in Child Support Payments to Quit Procreating

In a decision by an Ohio judge, 35-year-old defendant Asim Taylor was ordered to “make all reasonable efforts to avoid impregnating a woman.” The father of four reportedly owes nearly $100,000 in unpaid child support payments.

Taylor was found guilty on Wednesday, and sentenced to five years probation with the added order that he not procreate. His lawyer, however, says it violates his client’s right to privacy.

Lis Wiehl and Doug Burns reacted on today’s Happening Now, with Burns contending that the decision was “not legal.”

“You can’t check the Constitution at the door, and there’s a Constitutional right to procreate. However, it’s a question of semantics. You can’t say ‘no kids, period.’ But, you probably can say ‘no kids until you can demonstrate the feasibility of your economics on it.’”

Wiehl disagreed, however. She asserted that the judge had every right to say to the defendant, if you want this probation, you have to abide by certain conditions.

What do you think?

What do I think?

I think they should cut his nuts out. Then............go find all the baby mama's who allowed him to impregnate them and tie their tubes with barbed wire.

That's what I think.

What does procreate mean?

I happen to agree that it is a legal sentence- since its part of a suspended sentence or probation... He has the opportunity to refuse it and take the 5 years in prison....
I just thought it was a unique sentencing....

they should stay out of his bedroom. I would have thought "free" birth control and a "women's choice", would have corrected these types of situations by now.

Was it the woman's choice to have the baby?

what do you think, OT?

Did you mean a Eunuch sentencing.

Putting all kidding aside... such a sentencing is not far removed from deciding certain individuals or groups are not fit to procreate or belong in society. Perhaps OT you could sit in judgement of such peoples upholding your own version of the Nuremberg Laws.

Read where a judge gave a woman a similar sentence a couple of weeks ago. NO MORE KIDS. Should have put him in prison instead of probation. Maybe "bubba" would have introduced himself to him.

Hypo playing "devil's advocate": But is it the man's choice if a woman has the child or not?

If this guy got a woman pregnant and tried to get her to go to PP and have an abortion, would his opinion even matter? Or would he be accused of waging a "war on women"?
