That mule looks a lot taller than the other one. Is she?
And where did you get her? Do you still have your other mule?

You have a lot of dogs...

She is taller and heavier both. She's green as a gourd, but I really have high hopes for her. We still have the other mule also.

I had set my sights on trying to live up to the grand legacy of the owner/head photographer of the Spearhead ranch. But now that he is a multiple mule owner, I have paused in that ambition! I have known a few mule owners in my days upon this earth and have found that what they lack in intelligence and class, they more than make up for it with rowdy behavior and hard-headedness!  Heck in a wheelbarrow is more like it! :D Good looking mule Soap! I'm only diggin' a spur a tad. I'd like a couple good mules to pack with someday. A good friend who raises and sells mules once told me that it takes ten or twelve mules before a guy gets a good one, but when the good one shows up a fella won't ever swing a leg over a horse again!

Ninety-nine percent of mules give the rest of them a bad name. :)

My grandpa raised mules in Missouri. I was so insulted when
he bred my favorite of his work horses, Dolly, to a cotton-picking mule. But that mule was a dandy. One of the best.
But I heard a guy rib him
one day...he said..."don't you know, the only ones who ride a mule are too poor to ride a horse and too proud to ride a cow..."

 That was awful, I thought. Never bothered grandpa tho. :D

I know what it is....................Soapweed just doesn't wanna admit it's time for glasses...so he buys mules with bigger ears...so he can aim the camera better between em

Or....he named the mule Delilah....so it's just another excuse to get another one...so he can name it Sampson.

Great pics again Soapweed. Some folks I know claim a hinny is generally a better animal to train than a mule, have you ever noticed any difference?

For those who don't know, a hinny has a donkey for a mother and a stallion for a dad. A mule has a mare for a mother, and a jackass for a dad. I haven't been around many hinnies, but have heard that they look more like a horse and act more like a donkey, whereby a mule looks more like a donkey but acts more like a horse. Usually hinnies have shorter ears than mules. This is all hearsay, so take it for what it is worth.
