Doctoring a calf for pneumonia this morning

As my partner waits patiently

As usual I am taking pictures while others do the work.

Cattle in the pasture

Recent rains have done some washing

Moseying around trying to sneak a loop on other sick calves. The vet arrived.
We had doctored four calves, and there looked to be several more about ready to become sick.
The vet suggested that we might want to treat the whole herd in this pasture as prevention.

We went home, had dinner, and came back with portable corrals to gather the bunch of one hundred head. This was part of the entourage.

My contribution to the convoy

Peach, Polaris, and a paint pony

We set up a corral by the windmill.

Amd ended up giving these one hundred head of steer calves preventative vaccinations.

This pretty much used up the rest of the day.

Summer sickness in the calves. Summer sick and summer are not.

Kind of a beefy boy

Kosmo Kid filling the chute

Peach running a vaccine gun

Sunflower went to the big town to get medicine. Then she made herself useful by encouraging the calves to go up the alley. I mainly just took pictures. :)
