Touring through the Sandhills, I saw a brand, familiar by way of Ranchers.net

Nearby, I met a celebrity welder/machinist/mechanic/cowboy/collector extraordinair named "Sparky" AKA "Will" who made an impromtu antenna repair for one "Gus" ( Will, Gus and my "little" brother, MIke, enthralled at the shop and its cool decor.)

Gus proceeded to function-check the RC boat controller in nearby "Dry Creek" which was running not so dry at the time.

All of the above was on the way to revisit some very cool country and its points of interest. Had a fine time visiting my next youngest brother in SD.
Gotta say, it was very cool meeting Will Moreland there in his shop in Merriman, Cherry Co., NE. Just the caliber of man I expected he'd be, proud to have made his acquaintence. Hate I missed meeting you, Soapweed while passing through your fine country. I believe you were gone to a saddle pulling contest that day.

Sorry I missed you, DustDevil. Sparky said he really enjoyed visiting with you and your traveling companions. He sometimes is one of the "naysayers" of my time on Ranchers.Net, so it is good he realizes there is a positive side to it. :)

WHO KNEW?

The newest tourist destination in Nebraska would be Sparky's Welding , Machine and Canine Retirement Home :D

I hope we haven't started an irreversible trend that'll slide the town into a Vegas-like 24 hr. a day decadent scene.

And thanks, Soapweed. Maybe we'll cross paths someday
