[Soapweed]

A nice mare and colt at the JF Ranch

He's built just right

Yearling heifers on grass

And a couple of their boyfriends

They have adequate water

And a windmill to boot

A fuzzy feller

And some of his friends

More kids on the playground

If it itches, scratch.

Another little boy calf

A bit of rain in yonder cloud

Sunset on the boulevard

Another day about gone

Sunshine on a soapweed

Trying out the telescopic lens

Pretty yellow flowers until you observe two grasshoppers on the petals

Black and blue and yellow

The sun

Is blood red

And going down

Many thanks for posting that song, Sandhusker. We have been IT fans for a very long time. Had the privilege of hearing him in person a time or three.

He's my favorite singer, after Hadley Barett, usually a rodeo announcer, but he also has a fine singing voice and style. Wish I would find more of his music as we only have one CD.

Great photo's, too, as usual. We really need to get some taken as our grass has never looked much better. It came on pretty early for here, so much of it is in bloom now. Calves can hide in it pretty easily.

Works fine for me. Nice pictures, green grass and good cattle are always easy on the eyes.
